Fifth grade students in Santa Teresa are becoming experts in energy and water conservation. Right now 2,783 students in El Paso Electric’s New Mexico service area are learning the importance of being energy and water efficient with the El Paso Electric LivingWise™ Program.  Households utilizing all kit measures and behavior changes will save up to $254 per year on energy expenses. The program is expected to save 994,282 kWh of energy in 2015. Fifth grade teacher Lydia Anaya and Santa Teresa Elementary will be recognized for their efforts in the energy efficiency education program developed by Resource Action Programs, at a media event held in the multi-purpose room of Santa Teresa Elementary School on October 15, 2015. At this event, students currently in the El Paso Electric LivingWise Program will receive their efficiency kits for the first time.
